Yikes...

...I did a tiny post yesterday and got 4 comments !?! Must have been the cute photo!
Weight loss update - just 1/2 lb off this week, but that's okay as I know I haven't been great at it this week. Went to the gym this morning again and even my instructor that checks my progress had noticed that I've lost a bit more :)
Anna, as soon as I can cover up by bodge of a title you can use the layout!
Got some delish chipboard this morning in the post - Lil' Davis glittery stuff in black -fab!! No scrapping done today as my sister's been round this evening but I will be cracking on with the cj's I have here tomorrow (as well as fixing the bodged LO!)
I promise I will scrap the photo of Holly with the sunflowers very soon.
Oh and Ali, I will keep my eyes peeled for that postie!
Lo today is one I've done for the Pad comp based on the song Hey Baby from Dirty Dancing.I've had this Bo Bunny paper for ages (I dashed out and bought it when I first started scrapping )so I'm glad I've finally used some of it!I wanted to do something less obvious but let't just say the ideas didn't work out ! Oh, and none of the stitching is real on this! The dots on the letters are white gel pen and the pink stitching is stamped!

Ooops....

...see, I'm really not very good at this blogging business am I?!
Would love to share a photo but I am not happy! Spent what felt like ages at the crop today doing a LO, only to bodge it up by handwriting the title and ruining it - pah! Then tried to do a CJ entry and bodged the stamping on that too - thank goodness for ribbon to hide mistakes with....
After that I sat and stared at my stash with not a clue what to do with any of it and got reallly fed up.....sob...
Anyway, disasters at home aside, went to Anna's crop today and had a fab time as usual. Kerry visited with her lil' baby - she's sooo sweet and we also had coffee & walnut cake - yum!
Right, I am off to feel sorry for myself over my lack of artistic talent....night night!!
Oh, changed my mind and added a pic of Holly looking cute with my sunflowers!

I'm shrinking....

...well , kind of!! Lost another 3.5 lbs this week - woohoo! I've lost 8.5lbs in total (they wrote down the wrong amount last week, should have been 5lbs!) Admittedly I can't really notice the difference yet,but at least decent losses will spur me on to keep at it. As part of my 'effort' I was in the gym again at 8 am this morning.
Pic today is another comp LO, based on a quote from St Elmo's Fire.I loved having an excuse to watch it again!
I am in work for the next three days so I may go quiet again!
But it's crop day on Sunday - yipee! Anna, I have buckets for you :)!!

School's out....

....for summer! Yikes..six weeks of never having the house to myself!! I am working three days a week for four weeks of the hols so we'll be fitting in visits from friends etc on my days off! Even Anna has managed to squeeze us into her busy schedule!
Photo today is of the buckets I decorated and filled for the girls teachers. Usually when I decide to do something like this on the spur of the moment, I can never find what I'm looking for! But luckily enough, I found these fab buckets in Poundstretcher yesterday for £1.25 each! Now, if I had a scrapping room, I'd have these myself for storing stuff in...I can dream!
Tomorrow we are forecast rain...typical, I'm finally getting a new parasol and base for the garden tomorrow after the old one gave up the ghost this afternoon! Our garden is basically shadeless til about 2pm, when the shade slowly starts to move across the garden. Not good when you're trying to avoid sunburnt children!
Have a good weekend! xx

Little Buzzy Bee....

This pic is of Holly this morning before she went to school! Today was Mini Beast dress up day in Reception to raise money for a hospital unit which recently cared for one of the pupils in Holly's class.Holly went out to a friends yesterday afternooon so while she was gone I set about painting ping pong balls black and 'altering' a pair of unused fairy wings!
Too hot to scrap...but I have two cj's and a star book to make to I'd better get a move on!Tonight I will be decorating metal buckets for teacher presents for the last day of term tomorrow! So no early nights here...
I still cannot believe it's the end of the school year already.Having said that, I love September with the start of the new school year,Autumn on it's way and lots of birthdays looming up!

A pound off...

...each boob and butt cheek! Yep, I have managed to lose 4.5lbs this week - woohoo! Just a small dent in what i have to lose but at least I'm on my way!
Pic today is of one the Lo's I did for a 'chick flick' themed challenge I'm taking part in at the moment.Fab theme, but why do I leave it so late to do stuff?!
Had a lovely pub lunch today with two of my friends from the school. It was lovely as we haven't mananged to get together since last September due to work etc.
The girls found out today who they're teachers will be next year and I am really pleased on both counts.Em is also back with her best friend so hopefully that will be good for her.
Right ,I'm off to my bed!

Ooops....

...not great at this blogging lark amI ?!

saying that though, this week seems to have been a bit manic! On Wednesday both girls had their school sports day. And Holly was 'talent spotted' by someone from the local sports centre!! She was watching the skipping and jumping activities and came over to talk to me afterwards. I don't think they follow it up at all..part of me thinks it's a ploy to get me to spend loads on lots of lessons for her! She is definately very active though and this week taught herself to ride her bike without the stabilisers! Em took part in the relay race and did as best she could, bless her.
On Friday Holly's year did their first assembly - performed in front of the other 400 or so pupils and all their parents, grandparents , sisters, brothers etc! They did a fab job, telling the story of the Hungry Caterpillar.
This week is the last week of term...where did that year go? Both girls got fab reports from their teachers on Friday and tomorrow they find out who their new teachers will be...
I have been scrapping this weekend but cannot share yet as they are for a competition! I will share tomorrow hopefully!
Right ,I am off to tidy up the carnage left by my scrapping attempts!

Love this...

LO! Okay, so I know I haven't done anything amazingly different from anybody else with this paper, but I just love the photo I took of Holly on Sunday afternoon after her second tooth had come out. Humungous thanks to Kirsty for the title name! Mwah!
Tomorrow is school sports day so i shall be spending my day running back and forth between the school and work so that I don't miss out !!
More tomorrow...
Yikes the photo in the Lo looks awful - it's much better in real life!

And another one!

Finished off another A4 layout this eveing - so don't expect any more from me for about a week!
Love the photo on this one.I tried to have a little photo session with the girlies yesterday afternoon, but where to take the pics is the problem! So I settled for the back wall of the house, trying to miss the air vent and Holly's artisitc(!!) chalking on the wall! After a bit of cropping, a few are pretty useable! But why do I get 'inspired' so late in the day?! Meant to have an early night last night, but I was up doing that Lo 'til about midnight!
Holly lost her second tooth today so we are expecting the Tooth Fairy anytime now...lucky she'll flying, she'd probably break her neck with all the toys on the floor up there...
Right , I'm off for now as I'm off to the gym early in the morning (ie about 7.30 am...)
Have a good week xx

I have scrapped.....

...and in green! I don't really own much green PP or card stock even but I've recently taken to buying green embellies in the hope that I might get inspired to use them...and it's happened!! This is also my first A4 LO...yes, I'm copying everyone else!! Anyway, I'm really pleased with this, especially as some of the embellishments aren't 'scrapping' stuff! The green flowers are from a gift shop and had thin cotton attached to them - apparently they are meant to float in Punch bowls and the like! But Anna and I spotted their scrapping potential! The other little touch is the Charlie & Lola (I kid you not!!) confetti heart ! Those without CBeebies or small children probably have no idea who Charlie & Lola are , but let me assure you they are BIG in the world of small children!
I also got my Heidi Swapp Costco kit this morning (thanks Dawn!) - yum! Just got to try and use it subtley!! I used the chipboard letters and chalk inked them green for todays layout.
Also in the post I got two fab unmounted stamps by Stamps Away from Ali at Clevercut! I used the stitches one otday around the corner of the photo. Check out her website, she has loads of stamps at fab prices!
Not much planned for the weekend really. Em is off to be pampered at the hairdressers first thing in the morning and that's about it! My ,what exciting lives we lead...

Too hot...

...to do anything! Despite having a huge thunderstorm and torrential rain this afternoon(which we walked home in!) ,it's still sooo hot here.Don't fancy scrapping cos I need to put the lights on..and if I do that I need to shut the windows to stop the moths and daddy long legs coming in!
Holly got a mention in the school's 'Golden Book' yesterday - for being kind to lots of children - bless! Em also got her Watermanship swimmimg certificate - woohoo! So prooud of her as she really doesn't enjoy her school swimming lessons and has made such progress.
I had my six week assesssment at the gym yesterday. All is well, not lost loads of weight but my 'fat ' mesaurements (BMI and another one I can't remember) are both down- yipee!
Photo today is of a Lo I did based on a class done by Anna. Sorry, still haven't sussed out how to link stuff! It's not new but I've not been doing anything recently!
This week we have the school open evening and then next week it's Sports Day and Holly's first assembly (when her year does the assenbly in front of the whole school and parents!)Can't believe another school year is nearly done and that my girlies will be in Year 5 and Year 1 !

Summer smiles....

Well, I wasn't going to update today as I've not dome much! But as Em is STILL awake (it's 11.50pm!!) and is now in our bed I thought I may as well pop on here and upload a photo from today while I'm waiting for her to fall asleep.
Today has been a lazy day..it's too hot to do anything! Watched the footie though...sob....
Not much planned for tomorow either as Geoff is decorating our room so I'll be keeping an eye on the girls.
I have now just about finshed off the tag CJ's for the Lounge so hopefully they will be winging their way to Tracey on Monday - better late than never!
